It is our privilege to participate in the public dedication of your child(ren).
In Matthew 19:13-14, Jesus demonstrated his acceptance and love for children when He said, "Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them: for of such is the kingdom of God.' And He took them up in His arms, put His hands upon them, and blessed them."
Following the example of the devout parents of the Bible, we, as parents have the desire to present our children to the Lord.
This is not infant baptism, as Baptism in the Bible is the personal choice of an individual. This, in contrast, is a dedication, and finds its example in Abraham who was called upon to offer his son Issac, and Hannah who left her son Samuel to serve in the temple with Eli.
It's a sober commitment to responsibly care for that which God has given, training them in God's ways and to release them to the will of God, when that time comes.
Grandparents and other family members are invited to attend and celebrate along with us.
